Stalling at bedtime. It's an age-old tactic that has been used by kids for generations. Colin is no different. He can drag his feet with the best of them. Another of his favorite stalling tactics is carrying on a conversation after he's been tucked in, the light's been turned out, and the door closed. Here's just a sampling of the tidbits that just couldn't wait until morning:
"Mom??? I just wanted to tell you that I love you."
"Mom??? I like your shirt."
"Dad??? My owie feels better."
"Mom??? You're talking too loud and you're keeping me awake."
I used to look forward to bedtime because it meant some un-interrupted "me" time. Nowadays, I look forward to hearing what he's going to come up with next.
