More Training

These are a few weeks old...surprise, surprise that I'm a litle behind in getting them posted, huh? Scott and his dad went to another train show. As part of the show, some local model rail roaders held open houses so people could come in and look at their layouts. The whole family decided to tag along and check out the open houses.

There was nothing too spectacular about the first layout we looked at. It was quite large, however. Daddy & Colin checking out the train:

This cracked me up... (you can click the picture to make it larger)

The second layout we visited, however, was amazing. It was very polished and themed meticuliously. The theme was very alpine European complete with mountain background, cable cars, etc. This is a carnival scene complete with working ferris wheel, carousel, and bumper cars. There is even a rotating restaurant at the top of the space needle looking thing.

Another view of the Eurpoean layout. This is a fire station...

An engine coming across a bridge...

We visited two other layouts, but didn't take any pictures at those. The sheer amount of time that some people devote to these layouts continues to amaze me. Colin was fascinated with each house that we visited. Once Scott's dad gets his layout up and running I'm not sure if we'll be able to drag him away from it.
