Sprinkler Fun?

This is the cool, fun, new sprinkler we bought Colin to play in this summer. If I had had something like this when I was a kid, you'd have been hard pressed to get me to come inside...ever.





This is about as close to it as my child wanted to come. He ran screaming hysterically from it and wouldn't come off the deck until we turned it off.





Later, we pulled the little baby pool out of the shed because it was Memorial Day dammit and water fun would be had one way or another. This was as brave as he would get.






Oh well, at least the sprinkler only cost $6. I think we're going to have a playdate with our friends' kids one day soon and have them show Colin how it's supposed to work. If it's still a no go I guess we'll pack it up until next summer and try again.
