We had some decent weather here this afternoon. Far too nice to sit home and watch NASCAR all afternoon. ;o) The annual garden show was going on downtown so we decided to go check it out. Parking downtown for events like the garden show is always a disaster, so we took advantage of the free shuttle they offered. The shuttle route ran from the mall near our house to the convention center downtown and was provided by the local school bus service. Colin was estatic to get to ride in a real school bus. He kept going on and on about how "bumpy" it was, LOL.
After the bus dropped us off at the convention center, we had to wait until it was completely out of sight to go in so Colin could shout after it, "Bye school bus! Be carefull!!"
The show was great. Local nurseries set up beautiful gardens to walk thru, and there was an Elvis impersonating contest going on that Colin thought was hysterical. We had to make sure we caught the shuttle back to our car by a certain time so we could be at the in-laws for dinner which meant we didn't have time to see all of the different vendors. There was a ton of cool stuff there though. We could have easily spent another hour and still not have seen everything.
There's a reason there are no pictures to go with this post. I didn't grab the camera before we left the house. I suck. I'm sorry. :o(
