Peg Bundy or June Cleaver?? You decide...but my many misadventures speak for themselves.

A Nice Little Sunday

Yesterday, we decided to do something fun as a family. So, we loaded up in the family truckster and headed downtown to Exploration Place. They are hosting a Titanic exhibit right now that we've been wanting to check out and Colin always loves the chance to explore and play with all the cool stuff they have there. The Titanic exhibit was, eh, okay. It was smaller than I expected it to be, but they did have some pretty neat things that were recovered from the wreckage. You're just going to have to take my word for it, though, because photography was strictly prohibited in the exhibit. When we purchased our tickets, we were each given a boarding pass. At the end of the exhibit, they had a list of all of the the survivors and casualties. The idea was that you were supposed to find "your" name from the boarding pass and see whether or not you survived. For the record, as a 2nd class passenger, I survived. Scott and Colin weren't as lucky in 3rd class.

We did get some pictures in other parts of the museum, though. The first couple are in the gigantic midieval castle they have for kids to play in. There are all kinds of things to dress up as and even a thrones for kings and queens to rule from. I'll let you all decide whether Colin looks like a prince or Archie's friend Jughead.

The next pictures are from the Exploring Flight gallery. They have a cockpit equipped with a video game where kids of all ages can try their hand at landing an airplane. It's alot harder than it looks, let me tell you.

After we were done exploring we came home, ate some lunch, and did some home improvement while the boy took a nap. After naptime we played outside in the backyard and worked on some more home improvement projects. Later in the evening, grandma came over to babysit while we went to dinner with some friends. A great ending to a great day.
