Peg Bundy or June Cleaver?? You decide...but my many misadventures speak for themselves.

Created a monster

For the last month or so, Colin and I have been jealous of all our on-line friends who have been posting pictures of their days spent playing outside sans jackets, in sandals, just generally having the best time soaking up some sun and playing in their sandboxes, on their swingsets, and other fun stuff. ;o) Here in Kansas it usually doesn't warm up enough to do those kinds of things until mid-late April at the earliest.

Well, we have been enjoying some unseasonably warm days lately (the high for today is 80, woo-hoo), so Colin has been able to get outside and play. Oh my goodness, I liked it better when he didn't know what he was missing. Now that's all the child wants to do. He'll stand at our back door saying, "bye bye. bye bye. bye bye." which is his way of saying he wants to go outside. Once he goes outside, it takes an act of congress to convince him it's time to come back inside.

We're definately gonna have to invest in some more outside toys. Right now all he's got are his motorcycle, and a ball. I don't think it would take much to build a sandbox, and maybe we'll look at a swing for the tree. We'll have to work on teaching Colin to throw the tennis ball too. Piper (a.k.a. the fetch-a-holic) would be in heaven.
